Background
Yang Chen is a FASS-IPP PhD student funded by UK Government and Department for Transport (DfT) at ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½, where his MRes degree has been granted. This degree is funded by European Space Agency (ESA) under H2020-Galileo-GSA. He received his BSc in Air Traffic Management from Civil Aviation University of China, Tianjin, China.
Yang's background covers 6G communication, Privacy Preservation, Cybersecurity, inertial and satellite navigation systems, control engineering and software engineering. He has several years' experience in design and development of various machine learning algorithm, signal processing algorithm, anomaly/intrusion detection algorithm, integrated multisensor navigation/communication systems, data fusion filter algorithms, GPS positioning and attitude determination algorithms, RNP navigation and flight management systems in China and UK.
Yang's research interests are concerned with Near-field Beamforming, Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) Modelling, Differential Private Federated Learning (DPFL), smart airport eco-system and intrusion detection system; data fusion methodologies for guidance, navigation, control and synthetic vision, integrated navigation systems; performance-based navigation and 4D trajectory optimisation; air traffic flow optimisation and avionics system safety assessment.
